Darrow is the Executive Vice President of OEM and Partner Development for TrueCar and President of ALG. In addition to his responsibility for ALG, the industry benchmark for residual values, Mike leads TrueCar’s efforts to partner with OEMs to optimize their marketing strategies, and affinity partners who use TrueCar-powered auto buying programs to enhance the value proposition for their members and customers.
Darrow is a seasoned automotive veteran with more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. He has held a variety of roles spanning the OEM and Advertising/Business Development spaces.
Prior to joining TrueCar/ALG, Darrow was Chief Sales Officer for Edmunds.com, leading the Tier 1 (OEM) and Tier 3 (Dealer) sales and business development programs. Under his guidance, Edmunds became the leader in new car display advertising.
Before joining Edmunds, Darrow spent nearly 20 years with Chrysler and Nissan in a variety of leadership roles in Sales, Marketing and Incentives.
Darrow holds a B.S. in Economics from Allegheny University.
Neeraj Gunsagar is the executive vice president and chief marketing officer of TrueCar, Inc. In this role, he oversees the company’s marketing strategy, which includes consumer brand marketing, partner and dealer marketing, corporate communications and consumer acquisition. He is also responsible for helping the development team implement product improvements for both consumers and dealers.
Previously Gunsagar was chief revenue officer, overseeing revenue growth for the company, including customer acquisition strategy, as well as optimizing integration and alignment between all profit-driving functions such as Dealer Operations and Affinity Partnerships.
Prior to joining TrueCar in 2012, Gunsagar founded corporate strategy and investment firm Saful Capital Partners. He was also vice president at investment firm Matix Partners' India and Garnett & Helfrich Capital, a middle market buyout firm.
Gunsagar started his career on Wall Street at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where he advised companies such as Worldcom and Iridium on complex restructurings and acquisitions.
Overall, Gunsagar brings more than 15 years of experience advising, investing in and operating technology companies.
Gunsagar holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
Lucas Donat is the chief brand officer of TrueCar, Inc., responsible for brand and positioning, consumer and trade advertising and creative content development across TV, radio and digital mediums.
Previously, Donat was chief marketing officer, where he oversaw creative strategy development and user engagement for television, radio and digital advertising. During this time, he also served as part-time CEO of a Santa Monica-based advertising agency that he founded in 1990. In 2012, his agency, Tiny Rebellion, became the company’s agency of record and played a central role in evolving the brand’s identity for both dealer and consumer audiences.
Prior to partnering with TrueCar, Donat led Tiny Rebellion as it presided over the branding of several internet companies, including eHarmony, LegalZoom and Hotwire. Under his creative leadership Tiny Rebellion won Ad Age’s Small Agency of the Year in 2014.
Overall, Donat has more than 20 years of advertising experience. Lucas attended Ithaca College’s School of Communications.
Brian is the EVP of dealer sales and service at TrueCar. He oversees all aspects of dealer strategy and operations, and is responsible for strengthening relationships and improving services across the TrueCar Certified Dealer Network.
Prior to joining TrueCar in February 2016, Brian was President and CEO of AutoAlert, a cloud-based analytics and dealer portfolio management service. His previous executive roles include vice president and general manager for VinSolutions and Haystak Digital Marketing, where he led both companies' rapid growth following their acquisition by AutoTrader.com. At VIN, Skutta managed a highly integrated suite of digital marketing tools, including dealer web sites and inventory management, CRM and desking tools.
Skutta was also the first general manager of AutoTrader.com’s Trade-In Marketplace, where in 2009 he led the launch of a first-of-its-kind service that enabled consumers to receive liquid, sight-unseen offers for their used cars and redeem these offers from participating auto dealers. He spent more than a decade working in various roles for Cox Automotive dealer service businesses.
Brian holds a B.A. in Finance from Auburn University, and in 2015 was named a rising industry star on Auto Remarketing’s “40 Under 40”.
Tommy McClung is the EVP, Chief Technology Officer of TrueCar Inc. He’s responsible for defining the strategy, operations and development of TrueCar’s software engineering, data, technology, security and corporate IT initiatives.
Tommy was previously the VP of Product development at TrueCar before becoming CTO. Tommy joined TrueCar in 2014 after serving as the co-founder, CEO and President of CarWoo, Inc., an online car-buying marketplace. Tommy led CarWoo from inception to its acquisition by TrueCar in 2014. At CarWoo, he led all operational, fundraising, product management and strategic efforts across the company. Tommy is an alumnus of the Y Combinator startup program where CarWoo got its start. Y Combinator is the world’s premier startup accelerator, originating companies including Airbnb, DropBox, Cruise and many others.
Prior to CarWoo, Tommy was the co-founder and VP of Engineering for IMSafer, Inc. Tommy held several software engineering and technical sales roles prior to his time at IMSafer and CarWoo.
Tommy has a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Oregon State University.
John Pierantoni is the SVP, Chief Accounting Officer of TrueCar. John has over 20 years of experience optimizing and scaling public company accounting operations for high growth technology and entertainment companies. John joined TrueCar in December 2013. John is responsible for the controllership, internal controls, reporting, treasury and tax functions. Before joining TrueCar, John most recently held the VP Finance role at Cornerstone OnDemand, Inc., a Santa Monica-based publicly-traded enterprise software company where he helped coordinate their successful IPO in 2011. Previously, John served as the Chief Accounting Officer of Ticketmaster Entertainment and the Controller, Motion Picture Group of Paramount Pictures. In addition, he has approximately 13 years of public accounting experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers, including two years in PwC's London office. John is a CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College
Jeff Swart is the EVP and General Counsel of TrueCar. Jeff is a seasoned litigator with over 16 years of experience in commercial litigation and is one of the nation's most knowledgeable experts on auto regulatory compliance. Jeff joined TrueCar in May 2014 and has served as the company's outside regulatory counsel since January 2012. Jeff is responsible for managing auto regulatory compliance issues and assisting with other legal matters. Before joining TrueCar, Jeff was a litigation partner at the law firm of Alston & Bird LLP, and before that, a CPA with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC). Jeff holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from the Emory Goizueta Business School and a J.D. from Emory Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Emory Law Journal.
Kathy Mandato is the Chief People Officer at TrueCar, Inc. She has more than 25 years of expertise in human resources, building strong cultures, elevating talent and scaling companies.
Prior to joining TrueCar, Kathy worked with several founder-led startups in the technology space, covering AI, Bitcoin, blockchain and crowdsourcing. She was also the head of HR for Snapchat and part of its executive leadership team.
Before joining Snap, Kathy had a rich history in the entertainment business, working at such companies as NBCUniversal, where she served as Executive Vice President, Human Resources for NBC Entertainment, Universal Television Studio, Universal Cable Productions and HR Shared Services.
She joined NBC in 2011 from Comcast Entertainment Group, a programming division of Comcast Corporation, where she held the role of SVP, HR for three cable networks - E! Entertainment Television (Style, G4), Comcast International Media Group, and E! Online. (She had previously been at E! Entertainment in the late 90’s as its head of executive search.)
In 2001, Kathy became the Head of Human Resources for DreamWorks SKG and was part of the team that took the animation division public in 2004. She then served as the Head of Human Resources for DreamWorks Animation for three years before joining Comcast and E! Entertainment again in 2007.
Kathy began her career in advertising in account management and business development with agencies including BBDO Worldwide, where she served as Vice President, New Business Development and Communications for its Los Angeles, San Francisco and Atlanta offices.
Today, Kathy is active with several LA-based organizations that assist underserved youth. She is currently on the board of the United Way of Greater Los Angeles, as well as My Friend’s Place, a non-profit organization for at-risk and homeless youth.
Kathy received her B.S. degree in journalism and mass communications with a minor in public relations from Kansas State University.
