Mike Darrow is the President and Chief Executive Officer of TrueCar, Inc. He has more than 30 years of experience working in the automotive industry.
Mike joined TrueCar in 2017, serving as our Executive Vice President of OEM and Partner Development and President of ALG before being appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. Before joining TrueCar, Mike held leadership roles over 14 years at Edmunds.com, including Chief Executive Officer of Edmunds Data Services and Chief Sales Officer. Before joining Edmunds, Mike spent nearly 20 years with Chrysler and Nissan in a variety of leadership roles in Sales, Marketing and Incentives.
Mike holds a B.S. in Economics from Allegheny University.
Noel Watson is the Chief Financial Officer at TrueCar Inc., responsible for leading TrueCar’s financial operations including accounting and investor relations.
Prior to joining TrueCar, Noel spent thirteen years with Boston-based TripAdvisor, the world’s largest online travel platform, where he gained deep experience in two-sided digital marketplaces with complex revenue and acquisition models. In his most recent role as VP Finance & Chief Accounting Officer at TripAdvisor, Noel oversaw the company’s global accounting operations and corporate financial planning and analysis function.
He began his career as a CPA at Arthur Andersen and subsequently held management positions at Boston based technology firms ArrAy Inc. and Way Systems prior to joining TripAdvisor in 2006. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Zynga, serving on their Audit Committee.
Noel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bryant University.
Kristin Slanina is the Chief Operating Officer at TrueCar, Inc., responsible for leading business value, innovation, growth and overall vision around TrueCar’s strategic partnerships with retailers, OEMs and affinity partners.
Prior to joining TrueCar, Slanina was Chief Transformation Officer for Thirdware, a Multinational IT consulting firm where she oversaw innovation around emerging technologies such as AI/Machine Learning, IoT/Connected Car, and Blockchain as drivers of new product offerings and new revenue streams for Fortune 500 companies.
An engineer by trade, Slanina previously spent over 20 years at automakers Ford and FCA where she spent significant time in leadership positions working in core technology design and operations, planning, strategy, and the development of new business models.
She is a global expert and keynote speaker on the future of mobility, recognized by Automotive News in 2016 as one of the “60 Who are Steering Self-Driving Vehicles.”
Kristin has held several prominent Board and Advisory roles including for the Transportation Cost Recovery (TCR), the Michigan Council of Women in Technology, and MIT’s Alumni Association. She holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
John Foster is Executive Vice President, People at TrueCar, Inc. He is responsible for organization effectiveness, talent management, recruiting, talent development, and human resources operations.
In a career spanning over 20 years, he has served in executive leadership roles at some of the world’s most innovative companies, including Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Hulu and IDEO and various leadership roles at Levi Strauss, Fidelity Investments, and Citibank.
In 2013, John founded Gamut HCD (Human Centered Design), a platform to help companies design and build talent processes to support their growth and business success. His list of clients includes Tala, Thrive Market, Minted, Gensler, Pinterest, and Riot Games among others.
John’s early career was spent leading outdoor education and team building programs for schools and businesses.
He earned a Master of Education in Experiential Learning from Colorado State University and holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Communications from Miami University.
Beth Mach is the Chief Consumer Officer at TrueCar, Inc. responsible for driving innovation and growth around consumer value for TrueCar through product, marketing, communications and strategic initiatives.
Beth brings over 20 years of experience driving business building media and communications solutions for Fortune 500 brands across a range of categories including Financial Services, Retail, CPG, Technology, Entertainment, QSR and Automotive with leading marketers such as American Express, LVMH, Procter & Gamble, Goldman Sachs, Nokia Tech, Keurig, Applebee’s, JRL (Jaguar Land Rover), Ford, FCA and General Motors.
She has previously held leadership roles at global media and advertising agencies including, President of Dentsu Luxe, Chief Digital Officer at Initiative, Managing Director of Global Media at Huge, Global Client Lead at Mindshare and SVP, Global Digital Director at Starcom.
Beth mentors young professionals through Chief and She Runs It, serves as a Board Member at AdvisoryCloud and is a participating member of professional organizations such as The Cru and Inforum. She holds a BA from Walsh College and receives ongoing education through Harvard Business School.
Elias Rokos is the Chief Technology Officer at TrueCar. He is responsible for leading TrueCar’s Engineering teams, which include Product Engineering, Data Engineering & Machine Learning, Infrastructure Engineering & Operations, as well as IT and Information Security.
Elias joined TrueCar in 2011 and has served as an engineering leader in several key roles including VP of Architecture and SVP of Technology. During his tenure at TrueCar he has led several major technology initiatives that helped scale the business and unlock innovation, including a holistic technology replatforming and the migration of TrueCar’s Technology Infrastructure and Applications to AWS.
Elias is passionate about driving towards scalable and flexible architectures, as well as developing high performance engineering culture.
Prior to joining TrueCar, Elias was a Senior Engineer at Mahalo, a Search Engine and Knowledge Exchange platform backed by Sequoia Capital, where he designed and developed algorithms and models for content discovery and information retrieval. He was also involved in academic research at the University of Athens in the area of Graph Theory.
Elias holds a Master’s degree in Algorithms, Logic & Computation and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Athens, Greece.
Simon Smith is Executive Vice President, Dealer Sales & Service at TrueCar, Inc. He is responsible for leading TrueCar’s dealer relationships, sales and support strategy, and operations.
He has more than 19 years of experience working in the automotive industry in sales and operations roles.
Simon joined TrueCar in 2012 overseeing various roles within the dealer organization. Prior to joining TrueCar, Simon worked at AutoNation as National Sales Director. During his tenure he also led go-to-market strategy and implementation for AutoNation Direct, the company’s national alternative buying platform. Prior to that he spent eight years at CarsDirect (now Internet Brands) as Vice President of Sales and Operations. He began his career at Mercedes-Benz in the United Kingdom.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.
